Mock Inspection

A mock inspection replicates the process a real Cal/OSHA or county LEA inspector would follow: walking the facility floor to observe conditions, requesting specific documents (IIPP, Exposure Control Plan, training records, SDSs, waste manifests), interviewing employees about safety procedures, and identifying violations that would result in citations. The difference is that findings from a mock inspection become corrective action items rather than regulatory penalties, giving the facility the opportunity to fix issues proactively.

The value of mock inspections is proportional to their rigor. A cursory walkthrough that does not actually test documentation or question staff provides false assurance.
